THIS SUIT SHOUTS OUT QUALITY.
Here are the measurements for the jacket:
Top to Tail ( back of neck to bottom) - 30 inches
Shoulder to shoulder across back - 18.5 inches
Shoulder to cuff - 24 inches
Armpit to cuff - 16 inches
Chest (measured flat on outside) - 20.5 inches
Suggested size - 41 inches
Please read the measurements to check if it will fit you, but we think it will fit a chest size of around 41 inches. The manufacturer's label confirms the size as 41S (41 inches, short fit).
The trousers measure -
WAIST: 33 inches
INSIDE LEG: 29.5 inches.
THIS IS A TIMELESS CLASSIC WORSTED SUIT, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
The jacket is fastened by 3 buttons.
There are 2 pockets at the front as well as a left breast pocket and 2 inside pockets.
There are 3 non-functional buttons on each of the cuffs.
The jacket has quite wide collars, typical of the 1970's.
There is a double vent at the rear of the jacket.
The silky viscose lining and the pocket linings are in superb condition. The sleeves have a cream coloured lining.
The trousers are fastened by a quality zip, with a strap with 2 metal clasps and a button fastening at the waist. There are buttons on the inside of the waistband for the attachment of braces.
The waistband can be adjusted by means of an elasticated strap which fastens to 1 of 2 buttons on each side.
The trousers are pressed with a permanent crease.
There are 2 front pockets and 2 pockets at the rear, 1 with a button fastening.
This is a classically smart dark suit, in excellent overall condition, and would be suitable for formal occasions such as weddings, funerals, etc. There is some very slight damage to the material on one of the trouser legs, please see photos. This is not a tear or a repair, more like the material has been scratched at some stage - it does not go right through the material. You would only notice this on close inspection.
