THIS JACKET SHOUTS OUT QUALITY.
Here are the measurements:
Top to Tail (back of neck to bottom, inc collar) - 25 inches
Shoulder to shoulder across back - 17.5 inches
Shoulder to cuff - 23.5 inches
Armpit to cuff - 17 inches
Chest (measured flat on outside) - 19.5 inches
Suggested size - 34-36 inches
Please read the measurements carefully to check if it will fit you but we think it will fit a chest of around 34-36 inches. The maker's label shows the size as 48 - this is the European size, equivalent to a UK 38 inch chest but as with many items of vintage clothing this jacket is small for its labelled size in comparison with modern sizing - please use our suggested sizes.
Made from red & white leather. The Polo brand name/logo is displayed at the top of the left sleeve.
There is built in light quilted padding at the shoulders and elbows.
There are 4 zipped front pockets - 2 small horizontal pockets at the waist and 2 larger slanted pockets on the chest - plus 2 leather trimmed inside pockets with loop and button fastenings.
There is a stud fastened strap at the neck (this can be fastened in either of 2 different positions) and the main zip is concealed beneath a stud fastened flap.
Full length attachment zip at the back of the waist (to attach the jacket to trousers).
All of the zips are good quality sturdy YKK zips and all work well, as do the studs.
The jacket has a matching red lining. There is a small tear to the lining along the top of one of the inside pockets, please see photos.
Very good overall condition.
