THIS JACKET SHOUTS OUT QUALITY.
Here are the measurements:
Top to Tail (back of neck to bottom, inc collar) - 28.5 inches
Shoulder to shoulder across back - 20.5 inches
Shoulder to cuff - 26 inches
Armpit to cuff - 18 inches
Chest (measured flat on outside) - 20 inches
Suggested size - 36-38 inches
Please read the measurements to check if it will fit you, but we think it will fit a chest size of around 36-38 inches. The maker's label shows the size as UK 38 inches/German & Dutch (European) size 48 - as with many items of vintage clothing, its quite a snug fit for its labelled size according to our measurements.
Comes with built in light padding at the shoulders and elbows/forearms.
The jacket is black, red and white. There is a cloth Weise badge at the top of each sleeve.
There is a slanted zipped pocket at the front on the left and a leather trimmed inside pocket with loop and button fastening.
There is a strap at the neck with 2 stud fasteners. There is an adjustable strap with buckle at the waist on each side.
There are zips on the wrists.
There are 2 short zip fastenings at the back of the waist with which the jacket could be attached to trousers.
All of the zips are good quality YKK zips and all work well, as do the studs.
The jacket has a dark blue quilted polyamide lining. There are leather panels on the lining under the arms. There are a few stitches missing along one of the seams at the top of the left sleeve, please see photos - it's not a problem but it could easily be repaired, just needs a few stitches.
